dRILLSTER

Drillster has developed an e-learning application that adapts to the learners' pace and uses principles from neuroscience, AI + educational science to increase efficiency plus reminds the user to re-learn to keep your skills up-to-date and ontrack year-round. 

More details: The mission of Drillster from the start has been to instill knowledge and skill that can be recalled and put into practice in the workplace or classroom. The software is unique in terms of speeding up learning by 40% and increasing results by 10%, not to mention the distinguishing feature of reminding the user to learn skills they would otherwise soon forget. Drillster has entered a strategic partnership with Xpertise who is working with Worldbook Wizard to improve the learning experience for children who are distance learning due to the pandemic. It also has corporate US customers like Cigna, The Hartford, NISource, and Axalta.

EmailTree AI (LUX)

Emailtree uses AI-powered hyper-automation to enable efficient email communications and increase customer satisfaction.

More details: EmailTree AI has developed an AI-powered solution to a time-consuming task all businesses have to contend with - answering emails. Based in Luxembourg, their algorithm processes the textual information in the email and prepares pre-loaded replies and suggestions for answers, lowering the resolution time of an individual email by 60%. The time-saving technology increases customer satisfaction and lessens the load on customer support teams by immediately recognizing main themes and keywords that speak to the issue at hand. Emailtree has recently closed a deal with Orange Luxembourg, allowing its solution to reach Orange’s 30 subsidiaries telecom providers. With the noted uptick in email communications during the global pandemic, EmailTree’s technology was also selected as a solution to automate the processing and analysis of the level of urgency of messages (emails, online forms, instant messaging) sent to medical units and healthcare professionals in Luxembourg.

Extra Horizon 

Extra Horizon is a digital health company focused on providing regulatory compliant cloud infrastructure and GDPR safe data storage.

More details: Qompium develops medical software solutions for the digital health space, with 2 regulatory cleared products, FibriCheck and Extra Horizon. FibriCheck is an AI based PPG analysis solution to detect heart rhythm disorders using smartphones or smartwatches. FibriCheck makes use of the Extra Horizon solution, which is a scalable medical backend solution that offers faster time-to-market and time-to-regulatory for third parties.

Mobietrain (BE)

MobieTrain revolutionizes workplace learning with their mobile-first, micro-learning platform. They empower employees to drive their own career development and retain knowledge through bite-sized training content that they love.

More details: MobieTrain, a Limburg-based Belgian start-up, is pioneering an employee-training platform that emphasizes a “microlearning” methodology, breaking down training into 5-10 modules accessible via their mobile app. The mobile learning app company has been implemented by retail brands in the USA such as Vans, Timberland, & Diesel. The co-founder Mireille van Hemert-Schelling has observed that many brands are combining online and in-person points of purchase with brick and mortar stores becoming a type of “advice points”, so training employees in new sales strategies and current product offerings becomes a paramount advantage. MobieTrain was selected as Limburg Start Up of the Year in 2019.

Omniboost

Omniboost caters directly to the hospitality industry with an integrative financial & accounting system that revolutionizes the speed of these historically tedious processes.

More details: Omniboost has developed the leading financial data integrator for hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality organizations to automate their accounting by creating smart connections between their PMS/POS and accounting software. The automatic synchronisation of your financial data makes all records readily accessible and retrievable, from one, master accounting system.

Th3rd

Th3rd revolutionizes product showcasing online and in AR / VR with their 3D SaaS solution for fashion brands and retailers to capture their products in 3D onsite and at scale.

More details: To create hyper-photorealistic 3D models of just about anything, Th3rd developed a circular hardware and software configuration of 130 DSLR cameras. People & products are captured in 3D and transplanted into the digital realm. Through their corporate solution 3DSaaS (https://3dsaas.com/) Th3rd gives (fashion) brands & retailers the possibility to create 3D product twins at the push of a button. By using digital product twins throughout the value chain, brands can adapt cost and make each step of the chain more sustainable, faster and cheaper.

In relation to COVID-19, their 3D SaaS (Scanning as a Service) gives (fashion) brands and online retailers a powerful tool to showcase their entire product portfolio online or even in AR / VR, allowing them to give their customers a compelling experience, sans any physical interaction.

Stampix 

Stampix is a tech- and fulfilment provider of free photos, enabling brands to make meaningful connections with customers through printing dynamic content.

More details: Bridging the gap between attracting new customers and retaining existing ones, Stampix offers a convenient and cost-effective solution to fight churn or collect consumer data with consent. Brands can print creative and personalised messages on the reverse of the photos, leaving the cherished photos clear of any watermarks. The business model is novel due to its two-pronged appeal to businesses and consumers. Particularly young mothers and millennials love the fact that the service is free and high quality. Brands like the positive brand environment and measurable results that are being produced.

Yotako 

Yotako translates designs (PSD, Balsamiq, etc.) into tailor made source code for mobile apps and websites.

More details: Usually code yields design, but with Yotako the process is reversed as their technology converts multiple file types (Adobe XD, Photoshop, Balsamiq) into a variety of coded outcomes such as HMTL/CSS, Swift for iOS and Android. If that isn’t already enough, Yotako compiles the code for you, showing the deployed version online and giving the end user their preference on repository as well. Finally, Yotako was selected to showcase at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2020.
